Why did you decide to start Personal Training (PT)?
I decided to try out Personal Training as I was overweight and needed professional help in losing weight, becoming healthier and fitter. Having become a father of a young toddler at a later age, it was important that I was fit to support my family. I was having knee problems and also an elevated blood pressure so I gave it some serious thought and I knew I had to do something about it. However, I did not have the confidence nor the knowledge to do so.
What made you start PT with ReFormd?
When the gym near my house opened, I took the opportunity to sign up for a gym membership and also enquired about Personal Training. I left my details and shortly after, I was contacted by ReFormd Personal Training. I was invited to have a trial session and I enjoyed it very much. The Trainer was patient as he listened to my health concerns and took note of what I wanted to achieve. He gave me advice and I was guided through exercises I never knew how to do. I was confident that ReFormd was able to help me achieve my goals.
How have you benefited from PT compared to when you first started, and now?
When I first started it was difficult as I was extremely unfit and also had an unhealthy diet, snacking uncontrollably. With a guided trainer, I managed to overcome these bad habits which I thought would be impossible. Fast forward 6 months later, I managed to lose a considerable amount of my weight, feeling stronger and more energetic which benefits my work. I am also watching what I eat to be more sustainable and I have not been putting on weight. I have been able to go to the gym alone from the confidence that was built from having Personal Training at ReFormd. I even enjoy training and am inspired to make a healthy change to my lifestyle!
